A huge hello, hi, hiya ...
I am Victoria, Vikkie, Vik, and Mum... depending on where I am and who I am talking to.
I've clearly not changed much from the pictures and still ooze style and sophistication!
I felt this was the best place to share something a little different about me and what I do when not at work.
My parents tell me, “You always had a pencil in your hand!” Well, things have not changed. Every chance I get, I find I am doodling away. I discovered that this was the best way I could remember things, visualising a description, a story, facts, a place or even information in a meeting. Due to being dyslexic and dyspraxic, visualising concepts in my head, through drawing and generally being creative has directed my journey through life. Starting as a Secondary Design and Technology teacher for over 14 years, to leaving the profession to study an MSc in Urban Design, is integral to what makes me, me.
I would describe myself as an enthusiastic and pragmatic individual with a passion for the creative. My eclectic background working across different categories and sectors – Local Government, Education, Retail, Leisure and manufacturing has made me a confident and friendly communicator, a kinesthetic learner, and a collaborative thinker, determined to be successful with every new challenge.
